KLT Customs Hands Over Seized Cannabis Indica To NDLEA

The Kirikiri Lighter Terminal (KLT)  Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS)  has handed over seized cannabis indica weighing 51.25kg worth N256, 250,000 to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA). The seizure, according to the Customs Area Controller (CAC) of the command, Comptroller Joy Eghosa Edelduok  was made possible through policy trust of collaboration, consolidation and innovation of the Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR .   The CAC stated this in her speech at the handing over ceremony held at the command's headquarters in Kirikiri yesterday the 18th September 2024. Oyo/Osun Customs Command Generates Over N18bn, Seizes Contrabands Worth N713.15m In 3 Months

The Oyo/Osun Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service said it has generated the sum of N18.07 billion revenue  between June 14 and August 29, 2024. into the Federal Government treasury. The command also dealt massively on smugglers and their businesses by seizing contrabands and smuggled goods worth N713.15 million within the same period under review. The Customs Area Controller (CAC) Dr Ben Oramalugo, made this known in his address during a press briefing last Friday at the command headquarters in Ibadan on the activities of his command.  . ..As She Visits Gender Base Victim at FMC Umuahia The wife of the Governor of Abia State,   Mrs. Priscilla Chidinmma Otti,  has called on legal institutions and security agencies to swiftly implement laws and measures to protect women and girls from gender-based violence (GBV) Mrs. Otti made this call yesterday at the Federal Medical Centre in Umuahia Abia state where she had gone to visit a patient in the hospital who was reportedly suffered brutal physical abuse from her husband one Mr. Lawrence Chukwunyere. The woman named Mrs. Amarachi Lawrence from Atta Emede Ibeku in Umuahia North LGA of Abia State was alleged to have been inflicted with severe injuries to her eyes by her husband in an attempt to pluck them out   along with machete cuts and genital mutilation.
