Leading financial institution, Fidelity Bank Plc, has continued its efforts to address food insecurity and support vulnerable households with the distribution of essential food items to more than 1,000 families in Kogi State through its Fidelity Food Bank Initiative. The outreach programme, held at the Youth Centre in Lokoja, reflects the bank's commitment to fostering positive social impact in communities across Nigeria. The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Apapa Area Command, has recorded another historic revenue milestone, generating Twenty-Eight Billion, One Hundredand Two Million, Nine Hundred and Fourteen Naira, Sixty-One Kobo (₦28,102,000,914.61k) only within 24 hours on Tuesday, 18 August 2026, the highest single-day revenue collection ever recorded by the Command. Certification confirms that a bank securely stores, processes and transmits its customers’ credit and debit card information, strengthening protection against payment card data breaches and financial fraud, while reinforcing public and customer confidence. The 100% Compliance Team of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) has petitioned the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) over alleged unlawful conduct, extortion, intimidation, harassment and obstruction of trade by officers of the Maritime Police Command operating around Nigerian seaports. The petition, dated August 14, 2026 and addressed to the Inspector-General of Police at Force Headquarters, Abuja, specifically identified the Lagos Port Complex, Apapa; Tin-Can Island Port and other designated port locations, including bonded terminals, as areas where the alleged misconduct is taking place. The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Apapa Area Command, has posted an unprecedented revenue collection of ₦323 billion in July 2026, the highest monthly figure ever recorded by the Command. The landmark performance further underscores the strong results achieved under the leadership of Comptroller Emmanuel Oshoba, who earlier guided the Command to another record haul of ₦304 billion in October 2025.
