Apapa Customs Sets New Daily Record With ₦18.9b Collection

The Apapa Area Command of Nigeria Customs Service last Friday, March 14, 2025 achieved a daily revenue collection of ₦18.9bn, which stands out as the highest in history of the command as the record breaks the existing highest daily collection of ₦18.2b which was achieved in October 2024. The Area Controller of the Command, Comptroller Babatunde Olomu, fsi, PhD, according to a press release issued by the commands' Public Relations Officer, SC Tunde Ayagbalo described the feat as the beginning of greater exploits to be achieved in 2025, said officers dedication to duty, sustenance of compliance as a norm and promotion of industrial harmony in Apapa Port as well as the CGC's unwavering support contributed to the achievement. TinCan Customs Hands Over #8 Billion Worth of Illicit Drugs to NDLEA

The TinCan Island command of the Nigeria Customs Service yesterday, 10th of March 2025 handed over illicit drugs worth over Right Billion Naira seized by the command to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA TinCan Ports for further actions In a brief handing over ceremony held in the Enforcement Unit of the Tincan Island Port Command , the Customs Area Controller,  Comptroller Frank Onyeka who handed over the seized item to Tincan Island Strategic Command Mitchell Ofoyeju noted that the drugs were intercepted due to high level of intelligence gathered by officers in the Command, in collaboration with the men of the NDLEA. PTML Customs Command In Revenue Boost ...Rakes In Over N150 Billion in Four Months With B'Odogwu

With the introduction of the B’Odogwu revenue platform at the Port and Terminal Multipurpose Limited (PTML) Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) the command said it has generated over N150 billion as revenue  between November 11, 2024 when the platform was implemented and March 4, 2025. The Customs Area Controller of the command, Comptroller Tenny Daniyan stated this whole speaking to journalist recently in his commad. The Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, MFR and the entire management and officers of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Mallam Kabir Dangogo, a distinguished scholar,  journalist and trailblazer in the field of public relations. Mallam Dangogo, born on February 21, 1949 dedicated his life to excellence in journalism, public relations and corporate communications. His career spanned decades of impactful service,  starting as a journalist with the New Nigerian Newspaper and the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) before becoming the Managing Editor of New Nigerian between 1988 and 1989. He later transitioned into academia, serving as a Senior Lecturer at Kaduna Polytechnic, shaping future professionals in the media and communications space. AMID DISAGREEMENT AT NAHCO SHED NCS REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO INTER -AGENCY COOPERATION

NAGAFF Petitions AIG Maritime Police Over Misconducts By Zone 2 Police Officers ...Threatens To Protest If Such Action Continues

The National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF)  has petitioned  the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Marine Police Headquarters, AIG Musa Yusuf Garba over the activities  by men and officers of Zone 2 Police Department who illegally intercepts and arrest containers duly processed and exited from the ports by the Nigeria Customs Service and other agencies that are authorized to be at the Nigeria ports.
