Customs Intercepts Unregistered Drugs Worth Over N27 Million Along Abidjan-Lagos Corridors. … Hands Over Drugs to Relevant Authority

Operatives  of the Seme Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) have intercepted huge quantity of unregistered pharmaceuticals drugs smuggled into the country through the Abidjan -Lagos corridors. The drugs, which included 1076 bottles of 100ml Morphin sulfate; 94 bottles of 60ml Amadiaquine suspension; 2,970 packages of 500mg Vermox; 390 packets by 1,000 tablets of 100mg Mepacrine tablets; 298 packets of 100mg Clofenac SR, 1,485 packages of 50mg Losartail Potassium and 499 packages of 400mg Virest 400 Aciclovir tablets have Duty Paid Value (DPV) of N27,861,538.00. NEPAD Assures to Collaborate with FG, Imo in Dredging Oguta, Orashi River

The African Union Development Agency-New Partnership for African Development (AUDA-NEPAD) has assured its readiness to join hands with the federal and Imo state government in the dredging of Oguta Lake and Orashi River to the make the South East to have a seaport. The Chief Executive Officer of AUDA-NEPAD, Gloria Akobundu, who described the project as innovative and timely assured that the organisation was ready to offer necessary assistance in terms of mobilization of funds and technical assistance which will lead to the construction of a seaport. The Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, last week flagged off the hypographic survey/dredging of sea route, stretching from Oguta Lake to Orashi River to Degema and the Atlantic Ocean. NIMASA COMMEMORATES 2023 WORLD SAFETY DAY WITH WORKSHOP
