OGUN 1 CUSTOMS COMMAND PRESENTS 2025 SCORE CARD, HANDS OVER SEIZED CANNABIS SATIVA/AMMUNITION TO RELEVANT AUTHORITIES

The Ogun 1 command  of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), has announced the seizures of various contraband goods worth over N4.130 billion for in the twelve months of 2025. ‎ ‎The command, under the leadership of Deputy Comptroller Afeni, made this known during a press briefing with newsmen at the Headquarters of the command in Idiroko yesterday, January 29th 2026 ‎ ‎He stated that the seizures made were as a result of intelligence-driven operations and the dedication of officers, the command boss also  disclosed that more than N454,672,406.30 was generated and remitted into the federation and non-federation accounts of the government ‎ ‎ This clearly shows that the revenue profile of the command has significantly increased by about 47 per cent when compared with the sum of N275,835,602.00 generated  in the year 2024. WCO Hails Nigeria’s Time Release Study as Key Step to Faster, Safer Trade in Africa‎

APAPA CUSTOMS, NDLEA INTERCEPT 347.5KG OF CANADIAN LOUD HIDDEN IN 13 BAGS

In another major joint operation, the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Apapa Port Command, and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have intercepted 347.5 kilograms of Canadian Loud; a potent strain of cannabis,  hidden inside an imported Toyota Sienna vehicle. ‎ ‎The seizure occurred barely 24 hours after Comptroller Emmanuel Oshoba, Customs Area Controller  (CAC) Apapa Port Command, received a World Customs Organisation (WCO) Certificate of Merit. KLT Area Command Cracks Down on Expired Imports, Achieves Outstanding Revenue in Year 2025

ARMED DRUG TRAFFICKERS LEAVES TWO CUSTOMS PERSONNELS CRITICALLY INJURED IN OGUN STATE ‎

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Ogun I Area Command, has confirmed a violent attack on some of its officers by suspected armed drug traffickers during an anti-smuggling operation at Akokoro area of Iwoye, Imeko-Afon Local Government Area of Ogun State, on Thursday, 22 January 2026, at about 1600 hours. ‎ ‎The incident, according to a press statement signed on behalf of the Acting Area Controller of the command, Deputy Comptroller Olukayode Afeni by the command Public Relations Officer SC Chado Zakari, occurred while officers of the Command, acting on credible intelligence, intercepted a 12-tyre truck suspected to be conveying a large consignment of illicit drugs and other prohibited items.
