CVFF Application Portal Launch: WISTA Nigeria Felicitates Ministry and NIMASA


The Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy  and the Nigeria Maritime Administration and Safety Agency has continued to receive commendation from stakeholders for commissioning and official launch of the Cabbotage Vessel Finance Fund (CVFF) Application Portal.


‎The WISTA Nigeria in a statement signed by its President, Dr. Odunayo Ani Commended the Minister, His Excellency  Adegboyega Oyetola and the NIMASA Director General, Dr. Dayo Mobereola for their strategic vision and dedication to implementing practical solutions that respond to longstanding needs in the industry. 


‎The statement reads in full, "On behalf of the Women Maritime Associations in the Nigerian maritime industry, and in my capacity as President of WISTA Nigeria, I warmly congratulate the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy, led by His Excellency, Honourable Minister Adegboyega Oyetola, CON, and the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), under the leadership of Director-General Dr. Dayo Mobereola, on the commissioning and official launch of the CVFF Application Portal".


‎"This milestone marks a significant advancement in our sector,  a forward-looking initiative that enhances transparency, promotes ease of access, and strengthens confidence among stakeholders. It reflects strong leadership and a shared commitment to driving efficiency, inclusiveness and sustainable growth across the marine and blue economy landscape".

NCS Medical Team Trains Apapa Area Command Officers On First Aid

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) medical team yesterday trained officers and men of the Apapa Area Command on basic first aid training. ‎ ‎The Customs Area Controller of the Command, Comptroller Emmanuel Oshoba according to a press release issued by the public relations officer of the command, Superintendent of Customs SC JT Ayagbalo described the initiative as a crucial investment in workplace safety and operational readiness. ‎ ‎In his welcome address, Comptroller Oshoba emphasized that the programme reflects the priority placed on staff welfare by the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, MFR. ‎ ‎He described first aid knowledge as a universal life skill that every adult should possess, especially officers as they are frequently exposed to high-risk operational environments. ‎ ‎ Oshoba noted that simple but timely interventions such as; CPR, bleeding control, choking relief and stroke recognition often determine whether a victim survives, fully recov...
