Calabar Port Manager Plays Host to NACCIMA On Courtesy Visit‎

The Calabar Port Manager of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) Mr. Ibifire Alex Ekine and his management team welcomed Engr. Jani Ibrahim, the National President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), who paid a courtesy visit to Calabar Port as part of his efforts to strengthen collaboration between the private sector and port authorities.

‎The visit provided a platform for constructive discussions on business ideas, trade facilitation and strategies to enhance the efficiency and competitiveness of Calabar Port. Key areas of focus included improving port operations, attracting investment, boosting regional trade, and leveraging public–private partnerships to unlock the port’s full economic potential.

Through this engagement, NACCIMA reaffirmed its commitment to supporting policies and initiatives that promote commerce, industry, and export growth, while the port management highlighted opportunities for collaboration that could position Calabar Port as a key hub for trade and economic development in the region.

I n an exercise aimed at strengthening inter-departmental collaboration and inject new energy into the system to further improve performance and enhance efficiency across the maritime sector, The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) has announced a strategic redeployment of its management staff as part of efforts to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery in line with its core mandate.
