The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) is targeting to generate a revenue of N1.28 trillion in 2025, which would be generated from Ship dues, Cargo Dues, concession fees and administrative changes.
The Managing Director (MD) of NPA, Abubakar Dantsoho stated thar the said estimated revenues would be as follows ; N544 billion from ship dues, N413 billion from cargo dues, about N250 billion from concession fees and N73 billion from administrative charges.
The MD gave this hints during the 2025 budget defence session organised by the House of Representatives Committee on Ports and Harbours, on Monday in Abuja.
The Managing Director said that the 2025 revenue target represented a 40% increase from the N894.8 billion it realised in 2024. He recalled that in 2024, the authority surpassed its revenue target of N865.39 billion, realising N894.86 billion.
“This shows our unwavering commitment to national revenue generation, even when our own operational liquidity is affected. Our 2025 budget goes beyond figures. It reflects the authority’s aspirations for a more efficient, globally competitive port system,” Dantsoho said
