APC Should Accept Kwankwaso So We Can Have Peace - NNPP

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) says the party will be relieved if it's 2023 presidential candidate, Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso joins the ruling All Progressives Congress Party (APC).

This is contained in a statement issued by the NNPP National  Secretary, Comrade Oginni Olaposi on Sunday while reacting to the resignation of APC national chairman,  Abdullahi Ganduje' on Friday who cited health issues as reason for his resignation.

The statement stated that there are speculations that the APC national chairman quit his position over the reported move by Kwankwaso , a former governor  of Kano State to join the APC.

Olaposi stated that though the resignation is an APC internal affair, NNPP decided to react because Kwankwaso continued to create issues for NNPP even after his expulsion for anti party activities and had claimed to still be in the Party

" We have reasons to doubt and disbelieve the ongoing propaganda that Ganduje' left APC to enable  an alleged  negotiated arrangement with Kwankwaso ahead of 2027.

"It is on record that Ganduje  once described Kwankwaso as a prodigal son and as such, that APC is always ready to pardon and accommodate such individuals. Ganduje was merely a mockery of Senator KWANKWASO

"NNPP will be elated if any proposed deal with Kwankwaso becomes reality. APC may be in a better position to handle his baggage.

"We find it difficult to believe that Kwankwaso who is  currently fighting and struggling  to hijack the NNPP is also negotiating to join the ruling party.

But wait a minute, what does it take KWANKWASO to understand that he is not relevant in kano politics at the moment noting that kwankwasiya movement is very impotent and of no effect right now in kano state politics

It is our hope and belief that senator KWANKWASO should know when to bow out while noting  that the coalition group  refused to accommodate him and his wobbling kwankwasiya movement

"A man who betrayed a party that gave him a free platform for the 2023 presidential election by trying to hijack it from its leadership led by Dr Boniface Aniebonam, the Founder, should no longer be trusted" he said.

Olaposi alleged that Kwankwaso is using the NNPP to negotiate for relevance in 2027, pointing out his expulsion for anti party activities and his followers defecting to the APC are pointers to his irrelevance at the moment

"Kwankwaso due to his nature cannot accept to work under anyone due to his nature and it will still lead to another exit if he joins a new party.

"What is left for Kwankwaso  at the moment is to join the league of pressure groups seeking to be registered as a political party with INEC if he insist, he can use the Kwankwasiya Movement for that purpose ," Olaposi added.
