NPA Repositions For Greater Efficiency

* Appoints 27 General Managers

* Names Onyemekara as GM Corporate & Strategic Communications


In a move geared towards repositioning Nigeria’s foremost trade facilitation platform for greater efficiency and renewed contribution to the national economy, the Nigerian Ports Authority has announced new appointments and redeployments of 27 General Managers to support the Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho-led Management in actualizing it’s performance deliverables.

This announcement, which was made on Friday by the  Managing Director of the Nigerian ports Authority, Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho in his official X handle also named Mr Ikechukwu Onyemekara  as the General Manager, Corporate & Strategic Communicatons unit of NPA

The managing director in the Twitter statement, titled, “rejig as NPA Appoints New General Manager" stated that the new appointment which takes with immediate effect was aimed at repositioning the organisation for greater efficiency,  adding that it was to reorganize some divisions to align with the direction of the Federal Ministry of Marine & Blue Economy.

Abubakar Dantsoho also stated that these appointments represent a deliberate strategy to deploy the wealth of experience of the appointees to national advantage.

Among others who were appointed as new General managers or redeployed includes, “Dr (Mrs) Chinwe Nwokolo, Pharmacist Hadiza Sani and Mr. Babatunde Gbotolorun as General Managers Medical, Abuja Liaison and ICT Divisions respectively.

Mukhtar Isa, Mr. Anthony Edosomswan, Mr. Dapo Adekunle, Mr. Victor Gofwan, Mr. Rabiu Dambatta, Mrs Priscilla Maduka, Mrs Sarah Ballah, Mrs Zainab Dantiye, Engr. Anas Suleiman, Mr. Adeayo Oni, Mr. Abdulkadir Gusau Mr. RAB Salau, Barr. Nurrudeen Abdulkadir, Mr. Seyi Iyawe, Barr. Ethel Uduehi, Barr. Nansel Zhimwan, Barr. Ahmad Wanka, Mr. Fatai Oladapo, Mr. Ibrahim Lukman, Engr. Abdul Isah, Mr. Charles Okaga

The managing director stated that these appointments represent a deliberate strategy to deploy the wealth of experience of the appointees to national advantage.

KLT Command Generates N36.6 Billion In 5 Months As Compt. Edeldouk TAKES Charge

The Kirikiri Lighter Terminal command of the Nigeria Customs Service, said it has generated the sum of N36.6 billion between January and May this year.
