The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has said it is willing to continue with the existing collaboration between it and the Nigerian Navy in line with its robust policy of inter-agency partnership.
Managing Director of NPA, Mallam Mohammed Bello-Koko, gave the assurance in Lagos when he played host to the Flag Officer Commanding Western Naval Command, Rear Admiral, Joseph Akpan, who was on a working visit to the Headquarters of NPA.
The MD noted that it was necessary for all the agencies of government to work together towards achieving the goal of making the country’s maritime domain safe and secure to achieve the dream of making Nigerian Ports a hub in Africa
While speaking, The Flag Officer thanked the NPA management for the warm reception accorded to him and his team, he added that this is the right time for both agencies to further strengthen the already existing cooperation between them in the overall interest of the maritime industry and the nation at large.
