Bornu Inland Dry Port: NSC Holds Talks With Borno Government

The Executive Secretary/CEO, Nigerian Shippers’ Council, Rt. Hon Emmanuel Jime and his management team has met with the Executive Governor of Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum to progress discussions on the establishment of an Inland Dry Port in the state.

The meeting which took place at the governor’s office, Maiduguri, the Bornu state capital was held on Saturday the 24th of June, 2023.

According to press release by the Deputy Director, NSC, R akiya Dhikru-Yagboyaju, top management team who accompanied the Executive Secretary to the meeting are; Alh. Isa Audu, Deputy Director, Transport Infrastructure Support, Mrs. Ify Okolue, Director, Inland Transport Services. Others includes, Alh. Mustapha Zubairu, Deputy Director, Public Private Partnership, Mrs Rakiya Dhikru-Yagboyaju, Deputy Director, Public Relations Unit, and Mr. Nanbol Nanle, Special Adviser to Executive Secretary/CEO of the Nigerian Shippers’Council.

NAGAFF Petitions IGP Over Alleged Extortion, Harassment by Maritime Police at Lagos Ports

NCS Medical Team Trains Apapa Area Command Officers On First Aid

NCS Seizes 13 Containers of Unwholesome Imports

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Apapa Area Command has intercepted 13 containers with over 7.6 tonnes of cannabis sativa, 170,000 bottles of codeine syrup, security-sensitive drones and large quantities of expired consumer and pharmaceutical products. The Comptroller-General of Customs, CGC Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, PhD, MFR, disclosed this during a press briefing held at the Apapa Area Command in the presence of the Customs Area Controller of the command, Comptroller Emmanuel Oshoba and heads of other sister agencies earlier today, 10th September, 2026, according to CGC, the seized consignments have a combined duty-paid value of ₦43.59 billion.
