IMBIBE THE VALUES OF EID-EL-ADHA , CGC URGE MUSLIM FAITHFULS


The Ag. Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR has extended his warmest wishes to all Nigerians, urging them to imbibe the values of sacrifice, compassion, and unity as the Muslim faithfuls celebrates this year’s EID

The Ag. CGC in a press release signed on his behalf by CSC Abdullahi Maiwada, National Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Customs Service enjoins all Nigerians to embrace the life of service exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (AS). He urges them to imbibe the values of sacrifice and duty that is necessary to build the nation of our dream. 

"I wish to advise that we come together, united as one, to celebrate the spirit of Eid-el-Adha by sharing the joyous moments with our loved ones and taking time to appreciate the blessings we have been granted”.  The CGC explained.


While encouraging all officers and men to use this season to reflection on the sacred responsibilities which God has placed on them to serve as catalysts in Nigerian economic growth and development. the Ag CGC admonished them to demonstrate the importance of compassion and generosity, not only towards their immediate family and friends but also to those in need.


He reiterated his commitment to implementing pragmatic steps that will shape a brighter future predicated on the safety, security and economic stability of our dear nation. Amidst the demands of such duties, the CGC harps on the need to reflect on the significance of this festive season.


The CGC on behalf of his management team and the entire workforce of the Nigeria Customs Service, pledged for better service delivery. He finally prayed that this auspicious occasion will be an Eid that will illuminate hearts to the path of righteousness.

KLT Command Generates N36.6 Billion In 5 Months As Compt. Edeldouk TAKES Charge

The Kirikiri Lighter Terminal command of the Nigeria Customs Service, said it has generated the sum of N36.6 billion between January and May this year. This was revealed by Comptroller Martina Tilley-Gyado while giving her valedictory speech yesterday, Friday, 31st May 2024 at the command. This, according to her represents 75 percent increase when compared with sum generated within the same period of last year. Comptroller Tilley-Gyado who handed over the mantle of leadership of the command to Comptroller Joy Edeldouk appreciated the officers as well as stakeholders for their support throughout her stay at the command.   She pointed out that the command relied on the stemming of cargoes to its terminals even though the cargo throughput was low.
