BREAKING: Tinubu Suspends EFCC Chairman

President Bola Tinubu has approved the indefinite suspension of the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa to allow for proper investigation into his conduct while in office.

According to a statement issued by the Director, Information office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Willie Bassey, The suspension follows allegations of abuse of office while in office as the Chairman of EFCC.

The statement added that Bawa has been directed to handover the affairs of his office to the Director of Operations in the Commission who will oversee the affairs of the Office of the Chairman pending the conclusion of the investigation.
