New Customs Boss Set To Dismantle Encumbrances Impeding Trade In Nigeria.

The newly appointed Comptroller General (CGC) of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Bashir Adewale Adeniyi psc (+), MFR has promised to dismantle all encumbrances and obstacles that impede trade and     prioritize efficiency in service delivery as the bedrock of trade facilitation and revenue generation. Bornu Inland Dry Port: NSC Holds Talks With Borno Government

The Executive Secretary/CEO, Nigerian Shippers’ Council, Rt. Hon Emmanuel Jime and his management team has met with the Executive Governor of Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum to progress discussions on the establishment of an Inland Dry Port in the state. The meeting which took place at the governor’s office, Maiduguri, the Bornu state capital was held on Saturday the 24th of June, 2023. Customs Community Relations: Seme Command Calls For Seamless Relationship With Host Communities

The Customs Area Controller of Seme Command, Comptroller Dera Nnadi has called for a more seamless and harmonious relationship between Customs officers and the host communities along the borders areas. He stated this during a stakeholders meeting with community leaders and various interest groups operating within the Seme-Badagry command on Tuesday. Kogi Joint Security Force Confronts Notorious Criminal Gang

A joint security operation carried out by the Nigerian Army, Nigerian Navy, Nigeria Police, Department of State Services, and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, on Thursday, launched a full-scale manhunt for a notorious criminal gang in Kogi State, led by one Kabir Bala.   Addressing newsmen at the Kogi State Police Command headquarters in Lokoja yesterday, the State Commissioner of Police, C P Akeem Yusuf, narrated how Bala, popularly known as Okwo and his gang opened fire on a joint security team at about 4:30am on Thursday upon sighting the operatives.  While disclosing how the security team engaged the hoodlums, he stated that Kabir Bala was neutralised in the process, while other members of his gang escaped with varying degrees of injuries.
