We Are Ready To Combat The Yuletide Smuggling - Compt. Jibo



The Customs Area Controller of Seme Command, Compt. Mohammed Jibo had assured the commands readiness to meet the challenges of the perceived end of the year smuggling activities within the Seme border axis.

While speaking with our correspondent in his office recently, Jibo stated that the command is a bit lucky as it does not have the very high profile smugglers unlike some other border stations where trailer load of rice and tankers of PMS are smuggled by very dangerous smugglers but he stated that despite that, the command through the support of the customs management led by Col. Hammed Ali (Rtd) has being equipped with enough patrol vehicles, well trained and motivated man power capable to withstand any form of smuggling activities that might be intended within the period.

The CAC also stated that the command under his watch has always enjoyed a robust relationship with other security agencies within the command and their help and assistance will surely assist in meeting up with the influx of goods from any unauthorized route through the Seme / Badagry axis.

On fear of officers being attacked by the communities, Compt. Jibo informed that the cordial relationship between his command and the host communities will not allow for any such attack from them, he informed that the command identifying the need to engage the youths of the host community, the command facilitated the formation of Badagry United Football Club (BFC) that is presently playing at the Lagos State Professional Football League.

NIMASA Reshuffles Management Team For Enhanced Efficiency And Inter-departmental Collaboration
