BREAKING: Transport Ministry Gets New Minister as Buhari Reshuffles Cabinet



President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Muazu Jaji Sambo as Minister of Transportation to replace Honourable Rotimi Amaechi who resigned recently to contest the Presidential Primaries of All Progressive Congress (APC) but unfortunately lost out.

The President who administered the Oath of Office to Muazu Sambo and six other newly appointed ministers just before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting today at the presidential villa in Abuja urged the new ministerial appointees to consider their emergence as a call to duty which demands diligent service to the nation.

The Minister of State for Transportation, Senator Gbemisola Saraki now becomes Minister for state of mines and steel. While      Ademola Adewole Adegoroye replaces her in her former capacity.

The other appointments and their portfolios are;

Umana Okon Umana- Minister of Niger Delta Affairs
Olorunimbe Mammora- Minister of , Science and Technology
Sharon Ikeazor- Minister of State Niger Delta Affairs
Umar Ibrahim El Yakub- Minister of State for Works and Housing
Goodluck Nanah Opiah- Minister of State Education
Ekumankama Joseph Nkama- Minister of State for Heath
Ikoh Henry ikechukwu- Minister of state, Science and Technology
Odum Udi- Minister of State, Environment.

Recall that there were existing vacuum in Buhari’s cabinet after some of the Minister’s were compelled to resign before contesting elective positions in political party primaries in June.

Muazu Sambo was the former Lagos Area Manager of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA)

NIMASA Reshuffles Management Team For Enhanced Efficiency And Inter-departmental Collaboration
