The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) on Monday received the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) team saddled with the development and implementation of the Port Community System (PCS) at Nigerian ports.
NPA revealed this on it’s official Twitter handle stating that the PCS is a technological tool that will help manage data exchange and drive automation at the nations ports.
According to the Authority, “The International Maritime Organization (IMO) headquarters is working with the Authority to develop a Port Community System (PCS) for data exchange for its Port complexes.
“Today, the Management Team, led by the Executive Director Finance & Administration, Ms. Adenrele Adesina, received the in - Country IMO Consultants to discuss the Phase II implementation of the Port Community System".
