KLT Area Command Cracks Down on Expired Imports, Achieves Outstanding Revenue in Year 2025

‎ The Kirikiri Lighter Terminal Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), in it's intensified enforcement activities has intercepted a 20ft container of expired rae material snd another 40ft of falsely declared good while achieving a remarkable revenue growth in 2025.   ‎ ‎The Acting Area Controller of the command, Deputy Comptroller Bolaji Lukmon  Adigun disclosed this last Friday while briefing newsman in the presence of other senior officers and heads of Units in the command's conference hall. ‎ ‎ Giving account of the seizures, the Acting Area Controller informed that the containers were intercepted during routine cargo examination, the 20ft container was found to contain a violate import regulations item which pose potential risks to public health as the container, GESU 3900612 , containing 440 bags of 25kg expired raw material known as Triple Pressed Stearic Acid which originated  from Indonesia, with Duty Paid Value (DPV) of Thirty Six Million, ...

Nigeria Customs Concludes Strategic Leadership Training on Trade Reforms

ARMED DRUG TRAFFICKERS LEAVES TWO CUSTOMS PERSONNELS CRITICALLY INJURED IN OGUN STATE ‎

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Ogun I Area Command, has confirmed a violent attack on some of its officers by suspected armed drug traffickers during an anti-smuggling operation at Akokoro area of Iwoye, Imeko-Afon Local Government Area of Ogun State, on Thursday, 22 January 2026, at about 1600 hours. ‎ ‎The incident, according to a press statement signed on behalf of the Acting Area Controller of the command, Deputy Comptroller Olukayode Afeni by the command Public Relations Officer SC Chado Zakari, occurred while officers of the Command, acting on credible intelligence, intercepted a 12-tyre truck suspected to be conveying a large consignment of illicit drugs and other prohibited items. FOU Zone 'A' Intercepts Four Live Pangolins Along Ajilete Creeks‎

The Federal Operations Unit (FOU) Zone A, of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS),  has recorded a significant victory in upholding commitments under the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES). ‎ ‎According to a press statement signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Chief Superintendent of Customs CSC Hussein, the operatives intercepted four live pangolins during a targeted patrol along the Ajilete axis of Ogun state ‎ ‎The release stated that, "at approximately 18:33 hours on Thursday, January 15, 2026, a patrol team, acting on credible intelligence stopped a wooden boat laden with the pangolins in wire mesh cages along the waterways of Alapa Creek, Ajilete.
