NPA SANITIZES PORTS CORRIDOR FOR EASE OF DOING BUSINESS

Determined to clear the port corridors of congestion, eliminate security threats, and environmental hazards which have long plagued the Nigerian ports, the Management of Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), in collaboration with the Lagos State Government and relevant security agencies has embarked on a three-day full-scale clean-up and sensitisation operation at the Lagos port corridors. Apapa Customs Command Hits ₦1 Trillion Revenue Collection With 7 Weeks To First Half of 2025

With about seven weeks to complete the first half of 2025, the Apapa Command of Nigeria Customs Service has hit ₦1 trillion revenue collection which is a landmark achievement in the history of the Service. The Command's revenue collection table, according to a statement issued by the command's Public Relations Officer, SC Tunde Ayagbalo shows a total of ₦1,002,968,178,694.07  with more than 7 weeks before the command's first half report of activities. According to the statement, the Customs Area Controller (CAC) of the command, Comptroller Babatunde Olomu, fsi, attributed the success to a combination of leadership direction of the Comptroller General of Customs, blocking areas of revenue leakages and the diligent discharge of functions on the part of Officers and men in the area. NIMASA Denies Concessioning It's Operations Says Agency is Committed to Digital Reforms For Enhanced Revenue Generation

The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) said it has not Concessioned any of it's operation as the agency is committed to digital reforms to enhance regulatory governance, shipping development and revenue optimization. The agency stated this in a press statement issued by Mr Edward Osagie, Head, Public Relations Unit of the agency while reacting to  a recent sponsored  false publications. CGC Adeniyi Advocates ‘Nigeria First’ Initiative to Bolster Trade And National Security

The Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR has called for the adoption of the Nigeria First initiative as a cornerstone for enhancing cross-border trade and safeguarding national security.  He made this call while delivering a keynote lecture at the Obafemi Awolowo University Muslim Graduates’ Association (UNIFEMGA) annual conference in Ile-Ife, Osun State, on Saturday, 10 May 2025. In compliance with the Renewed Hope Nigeria First policy of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu which seeks to foster a bold and confident business culture in Nigeria, the Comptroller-General of Customs (CGC), Adewale Adeniyi MFR last Thursday, 8th May, championed and inspected vehicles produced by members of the Nigeria Automotive Manufacturers Association (NAMA) in the Service's headquarters, Maitama, Abuja. The Customs Consultative Committee CCC, has lauded the Nigeria Customs Service over its exceptional performance in enforcing import regulations and generating revenue under the National Strategic Economic Development Plan NSEDP as it offers recommendation to Sustain the enviable momentum. Customs To Establish Area Command at Snake Island Integrated Free Zone

The Comptroller General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, has pledged to establish a new Customs Area Command at the Snake Island Integrated Free Zone (SIIFZ), following an official visit to the facility on Wednesday 30 April 2025. During the visit, the CGC expressed delight at the level of investment made on the island and commended Nigerdock, a maritime and logistics company, and operators of the SIIFZ, for their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects.
