The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Adewale Adeniyi (MFR) on Sunday at a dinner with members of Guild of Editors and maritime media practitioners has called for collaboration with the media     for effective service delivery assuring that his administration will operate an open door policy.   The Ag. The National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) has advised and encouraged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to appoint Barr. Hassan Bello as the Honourable Minister of Transportation. NAGAFF in a letter dated July 14, 2023 and signed by Chief Patrick Ogbo, Senior Special Assistant to the Founder of NAGAFF, Dr Boniface Okechukwu Aniebonam said it was making the request from its vantage position and eye witness account, the exploit and competencies of Barr. Border Security: Ag. Customs CG Seeks Support Of National Security Adviser

The Acting Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR on Tuesday, paid a courtesy visit to the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, at his Office in Abuja. The visit, according to the National image maker of the service is part of the collaborative strategies of the Ag. CGC to address some of the challenges associated with the manning of Nigeria's vast land borders. "The porous nature of the nation's borders necessitates this visit to NSA to fashion the best way to tackle the menace of smuggling which has adverse effects on our economy and security," the CGC stated.  It will be recalled that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has on 19th June appointed Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR as Acting Comptroller-General of Customs alongside National Security Adviser,     Malam Huhu Rubadu, the Service Chiefs and Inspector-General of Police.

PBAT ECOWAS Appointment Will Promote Regional Integration, Border Security - Ag CGC

The Acting Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Adewale Adeniyi MFR, has lauded the appointment of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the Chairman of the Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS. Ag. The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), yesterday commenced     a 2 Day Sensitization Workshop on the new Nigeria Customs Service Act (NCSA) 2023 in Abuja for the     Management team of NCS in order to get them acquainted with the new Act to enable them carry out their statutory responsibilities. The Federal Operations Unit Zone A of the Nigeria Customs Service within January and June 2023 has N400,599,515.66. The Command’s Comptroller, DC. Hussein K Ejibunu disclosed this during a press briefing recently. While reiterating commitment to anti-smuggling activities which aims to protect the Nigerian economy and prevent revenue loss, Ejibunu revealed that, the command made 580 seizures with a duty-paid value of N4,022,960,075. In his words, “Within the first six months of the year, our activities resulted in a high volume and value of seizures with some suspects arrested. The Port Terminal Multiservices Limited (PTML) Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has within one month leadership of       Comptroller Saidu Abba Yusuf recorded a breaking feat of three hours vehicle clearance within customs control and     also generated a whopping N100,981,098,501.31 as total revenue from January to June 2023.
