NSC Receives FG Approval To Process Procurement Of ICTN

The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Shippers Council, Dr Pius Akutah on Thursday, 2nd April 2026, confirmed that the Council has gotten approval from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to begin the procurement process towards full implementation of the International Cargo Tracking Note (ICTN) ‎ ‎Dr Akutah made the disclosure during a stakeholders engagement organised by the Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy in Lagos, assuring that before the end of the year, the ICTN implementation would commence. ‎ ‎Responding to questions from stakeholders during an interactive session, Akutah said “We have already obtained approval of Mr President to go for the procurement process for the ICTN, and that is ongoing, and we are very hopeful that before the end of this year, we should come up with the ICTN” ‎ ‎The Shippers Council boss noted that the ICTN has undergone so many set backs and suspension in implementation, adding that this was why the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboye...

MIMA 2026: SIFAX Group Clinches Triple Honours
