LFTZ HITS ₦459.8B IN 8 MONTHS AS COMMAND GETS NEW CONTROLLER


The Lagos Free Trade Zone L f c command of the Nigeria Customs Service, between the months of January to August 2025 generated a total revenue sum of ₦459,848,420,344.77k.


This was disclosed by Comptroller Olanrewaju Abdulwahab Olumoh during his handing over ceremony on Thursday, 4th of September, 2025 following his retirement from active service, having serviced the Nigeria Customs Service meritoriously for 35 years.


Comptroller Olumoh, who handed over the mantle of leadership of the promising command to Comptroller HK Abubarka revealed that the command had witnessed a great transformation in areas of operation having started with just six Containers in 2023 and in the year 2024, the command generated a total revenue of ₦359,999,366,368.00.  he also noted that during his watch, the command, in the area of Anti smuggling, the command, in collaboration with partners like the NDLEA intercepted two containers of tramadol and unregistered pharmaceuticals.




He noted that these achievement wouldn't have been possible if not for the professionalism, resilience and support exhibited by officers and men of the command and also the cooperation of the sister agencies and stakeholders operating in the command.


He thanked the Comptroller General of the NCS, CGC Bashir Adewale Adeniyi and his management team for the impressive innovations witnessed in the Service and for the support accorded him and the command while in office.



While appreciating the officers for their support for his administration throughout his stay in the command, he urged them to give the new comptroller  whom he described as a sister and a women of integrity and strength with a high level of  professionalism the maximum coorporation even more than was given to him to enable the command to continue with the developmental stride being witnessed in the command since it's inception.


He went further to congratulate the newly promoted officers in the command, admonishing them to see their promotion as a call to renew their pledge of loyalty and commitment to the service of the nation. He equally encouraged those that didn't get the promotion not to worry as their their contribution to the service is not overlooked as their own will surely come at the right time.



The occasion, which can be described as a solemn occasion saw Senior officers of the command, puring out encomium on the retiring Compt. Olumoh, whom according to them, they will greatly miss for his fatherly love and advices that he always shower on them.


In her response, the new Comptroller of the Command, Compt. HK Abubarka praised the excellent performance of her predicessor and promised to apply her extensive experience to sustain the tempo of  progress and coorporation which she met on ground to enable her succeed

NIMASA Reshuffles Management Team For Enhanced Efficiency And Inter-departmental Collaboration
