NIMASA CALLS ON PRIVATE INVESTORS TO SEIZE OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE IN BLUE ECONOMY

Oyetola Gives NIMASA Matching Order to Commence Process of CVFF Disbursement

In what seem to be a move to  reshape the  Nigeria maritime industry, the Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, His Excellency Adegboyega  Oyetola (CON), has given  the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) a matching order to commence the process that will lead to disbursement of the Cabotage Vessel Financing Fund (CVFF). According to a statement issued by the newly appointed  Media & Communications Adviser to the Honourable Minister, Dr. Akinola Bolaji, this  directive marks a significant shift from over two decades of administrative stagnation and ushers in a new era of strategic repositioning of Nigeria’s indigenous shipping. PTML Customs Declares ₦189.5b Revenue, Achieves ₦5.6b Daily Collection With B'Odogwu

The Ports Terminal Multiservices Limited (PTML) Command of Nigeria Customs Service  has declared a revenue collection of ₦189,516,818,316.92k from November 2024 to mid April 2025 using the Unified Customs Management System also known as B'Odogwu The Customs Area Controller of the command, Comptroller Tenny Daniyan stated this at the first quarter briefing with senior officers and sectional heads, he described the B'Odogwu platform as a top notch technology defying it's initial teething challenges to become a part of the service success in revenue collection and trade facilitation.  According to statement issued by the Image maker of the command, SC Abdullahi Tsafe Abubakar the CAC stated that the command also made history on April 14, 2025 when it collected ₦5,612,887,374.99 which stands out as the highest daily collection ever made in the history of the  command. Apapa Customs Records ₦694.1bn in first Quarter ... As Command Gets Lawmakers Commendation for Efficiency

The  Apapa Area Command of the  Nigeria Customs Service has collected a total revenue of ₦694,167,949,142.56 in the  first quarter of 2025. The Customs Area Controller  of the Command, Comptroller Babatunde Olomu fsi  disclosed this recently when he received members of the House of Representatives Committee on Customs, he said  the figure is ₦205b higher than the ₦489b generated between January and March 2024, representing 41.8% increase. According to a press release issued by the command's Public Relations officer SC Tunde Ayagbal, the CAC stated this while briefing the Committee led by Hon. Leke Abejide, Comptroller Olomu attributed the Command’s successes to the Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, MFR and expressed optimism in the command’s ability to surpass the ₦2.357 trillion it collected for the whole of 2024 . TinCan Customs Collaborates With ICPC For Accountability and Transparency in Public Service

In a continued effort to foster ethical practices and integrity within the public sector, the Tin Can Island Port Command of the Nigeria Customs Service in collaboration with the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), hosted a training section on Transparency and Accountability in Public Service. The event, held on Friday, April 11, 2025, at the Command Headquarters, drew officers from various units of the service as well as representatives from the ICPC and the Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU). Compt Onyeka Continue To Show Prowess In Revenue Generation As TinCan command Generates Over ₦347B In Q1

The Customs Area Controller of the TinCan Island Port command of the Nigeria Customs Service, Comptroller Frank Okechukwu Onyeka has continued to show prowess in revenue generation since he assumed duties at the command on the 20th of December 2024. The command, within the first quarter of 2025 has generated as total of ₦347,935,672,476.00k, which is 12.6% higher than the ₦304,000,000,000.00k generated in the corresponding period of 2024. A breakdown of the revenue generation shows that in January, 2025 a total of ₦116, 412,735,766.23 was generated by the command,  representing a 24.06% increase higher than the sums of ₦88, 430,126,122.76 recorded within the same period in the corresponding year.   In February the command generated the sum of ₦103,254,292,839.23k which is 2.90 % higher than the of ₦100,253,187,074.72k collected in February 2024 and in the month of March 2025, the Command generated the sum of ₦128,268,749,635.00k which is 10.3% higher than the ₦115,100,0...
