A Retired Senior Customs Officer, Deputy Comptroller Akintola Imran Ayodeji (Rtd) has become a First Class King and permanent member of the esteemed Osun State Council of Kings.
He signed his letter of appointment on the 19th day of August 2024, at a momentous occasion which marked a significant milestone in his journey as a traditional leader and a proud son of Osun State.
His Royal Majesty Oba Akintola Imran Ayodeji, The Alua Of Erin Oke Kingdom Ijesa, after signing his letter of appointment saod felt a deep sense of responsibility and commitment to serve his people and uphold the rich cultural heritage of the great state of the Living Spring.
This appointment is not just a recognition of his own achievements, but also a testament to the trust and confidence placed on him by the people and the Council of Kings.
As a First Class King,the Kabiesi has pledged to work tirelessly to promote the welfare and development of his communities, to foster unity and cooperation among his people, and to preserve the tradition and custom that have made Osun State a beacon of culture and excellence.
He is humbled to join the ranks of distinguished traditional leaders who have served the state with wisdom and integrity.
He looks forward to see his people join hands to build a brighter future for Osun State and its people.
The Alua Of Erin Oke Kingdom Ijesa , noted that the achievement would not have been possible without the support and guidance of his family, friends, and mentors. He is grateful for their unwavering encouragement, support and trust in him.
As he begins this new chapter in his journey, he invite all Osun State indigenes and friends to join him in celebrating the milestone.
He concluded: “Together, let us work towards a greater tomorrow for our state and our people”.
Kabiesi Akintola's last assignment as customs Officer was at the TinCan Island Customs Command where he saved as the Deputy Controller in charge of Enforcement where he was said to have maintained peace among the clearing agents by settling waring factions within the agents.
