Save Nigeria Group Applauds The Appointment Of Abubakar Dantsoho As MD OF NPA


Save Nigerian Freight Forwoarders' Importers and Exporters Coalition (SNFFIEC) has applauded the appointment of a seasoned Maritime Technocrat in person of Abubakar Dantsoho as the Managing Director of Nigerian Ports Authority to continue from where his predecessor stopped.


The president of SNIFFIEC, Chief Osita Chukwu in his reaction to the appointment congratulated the newly appointed NPA MD and urged him to use the wealth of experience which  he has garnered over the years in the  Nigeria Maritime sector to revitalize and reposition Nigerian Ports for seamless operation and economic advancement of the country.


He went further to state that his group, as partners in progress in making Nigeria Maritime industry compete favourablely with other maritime Nations of the world also urged the new MD to do all it takes to enhance the electronic call-up system to make sure the years of gridlocks that plaqued the Western ports corridors of Apapa and TinCan Ports for more than 14 years which ceased early this year does not resurface again.


Chief Osita, who believes the appointment of Mr. Abubakar Dantsoho  is well deserved is also confident that he will deliver by promoting a more friendly port environment in the areas of port security and infrastructural advancement and ease of doing business in the ports, advised the new managing director to identify and collaborates and partner with genuine and critical maritime stakeholders and groups in order to revitalize and reposition the Nigerian Ports environment for seamless operation and economically viable.


While wishing the MD a successful tenure, he prayed that his administration would be one of the best things that will  happen to the Nigerian Ports Authority and the Nigeria Maritime industry in general.

NIMASA Reshuffles Management Team For Enhanced Efficiency And Inter-departmental Collaboration

I n an exercise aimed  at strengthening  inter-departmental collaboration and inject new energy into the system to further improve performance and enhance efficiency across the maritime sector, The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) has announced a strategic redeployment of its management staff as part of efforts to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery in line with its core mandate.   Under the new structure, according to a press statement issued by Mr. Edward Osagie FNIPR,  Head, Public Relations Officer of the agency, a total of 56 management staff were affected in the exercise.
