CONMMEP COMMENDS APPOINTMENT OF DANTSOHO AS NPA MD BY PBAT


The Congress of Nigerian Maritime Media Practitioners- CONMMEP has commended the appointment of Abubakar Dantsoho as the new Managing Director of Nigerian Ports Authority.


Dantsoho replaced Muhammed Bello-Koko who held sway as Managing Director of NPA for three years until his recent removal from office by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.


In a congratulatory message to the new MD, which signed on behalf of the President of the association, Alhaji Tunde Umar- Daniah by the Public Relations Officer ( PRO), Mcanthony Onuoha, the association urged the new NPA Boss to bring his wealth of experience to bear as he mounts the saddle as the Chief Gate Officer at the Gateway of Nigeria's Economy.


The congratulatory message read in part:

"We, members of Congress of Nigerian Maritime Media Practitioners, CONMMEP wish to congratulate you on your appointment as Managing Director, Nigerian Ports Authority".


CONMMEP is made up of seasoned Maritime Journalists who have consistently reported activities and events within the maritime sector for good number years and still covering the beat".


"Sir, we at CONMMEP believe that your appointment by the President and Commander -in-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR will revitalize and reposition NPA for seamless ports operation and economic advancement of the Nation".


Your splendid credentials and years of experience leave no one in doubt of the innovations and other deliverables your administration as Managing Director will bring to the organization and to the Maritime Sector."


As Media Practitioners, we shall continue to work in  partnership with the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) diligently and in line with the ethics of our reverred profession."

NIMASA Reshuffles Management Team For Enhanced Efficiency And Inter-departmental Collaboration

I n an exercise aimed  at strengthening  inter-departmental collaboration and inject new energy into the system to further improve performance and enhance efficiency across the maritime sector, The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) has announced a strategic redeployment of its management staff as part of efforts to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery in line with its core mandate.   Under the new structure, according to a press statement issued by Mr. Edward Osagie FNIPR,  Head, Public Relations Officer of the agency, a total of 56 management staff were affected in the exercise.
