All Set For NAGAFF’s 24th Anniversary Celebration


  The stage is now set for the much talked about “24th Anniversary Celebration” of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF).


The event, which is scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, 8th December, 2023 at the  Rockview Hotels Apapa, Lagos. according to the  statement from the planning committee will feature among others, presentation of awards to deserving personalities in the Maritime Industry and beyond including some Agency heads.

The Chairman Planning Committee, Chief Chris Agbowodikeizu and the National Publicity Secretary of NAGAFF, Fwdr. C.C. Iwegbuna Omenma (FISEN) in the statement said the
Chairman of the occasion is Barrister Hassan Bello (OON) former Executive Secretary Nigerian Shippers’ Council while Special Guests of honour include, the MD Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA), Mrs Chinyere Uromta,  Registrar Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN) , Comptroller Dera Nnadi, Customs Area Comptroller, Tincan Island Port and AIGP Mohammed Ari Ali, AIG Zone 2 Lagos.


The release further stated that,  Captain John T. Okakpu Chairman and Coordinator
Nigeria Agro Export Setup Committee. Approved by Fmr. President Muhammadu Buhari and domiciled at Federal Ministry of Industry Trade and Investment,
Host and Custodian
National Technical Work Group (NTWG) Nigeria
NAQS (Nigerian Agricultural Quarantine Services) will be the Guest Speaker.


The ceremony which has its theme as AGRO ALLIED PRODUCTS : BEDROCK FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT will also be graced by notable  personalities in the Maritime Industry including Dr Boniface Aniebonam, Founder of NAGAFF/NNPP,  Prince (Dr) Adewale Adeyanju, President General, Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), Fmr. National Vice/Acting President of Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agent (ANLCA), Dr Farinto Kayode, Presidents of other freight forwarding associations, captains of the industry among others.

KLT Command Generates N36.6 Billion In 5 Months As Compt. Edeldouk TAKES Charge

The Kirikiri Lighter Terminal command of the Nigeria Customs Service, said it has generated the sum of N36.6 billion between January and May this year. This was revealed by Comptroller Martina Tilley-Gyado while giving her valedictory speech yesterday, Friday, 31st May 2024 at the command. This, according to her represents 75 percent increase when compared with sum generated within the same period of last year. Comptroller Tilley-Gyado who handed over the mantle of leadership of the command to Comptroller Joy Edeldouk appreciated the officers as well as stakeholders for their support throughout her stay at the command.   She pointed out that the command relied on the stemming of cargoes to its terminals even though the cargo throughput was low.
