CGC Wale Adeniyi To Led NIPR’S Nigeria Reputation Management Group


 The Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR has been named the leader of the Nigeria Reputation and Management Group (NRMG) of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR)

The President of the Institute Ike Neliaku made this disclosure when he inaugurated the Nigeria Reputation Management Group (NRMG) on 24 November 2023 in Abuja. 


In his remarks, the NIPR President affirmed that the combination  of distinguished assembly of 23 members, marks a significant step towards fortifying Nigeria's global image.



According to him, "The NRMG, born out of a commitment to enhancing Nigeria's reputation, has a multifaceted mandate. In addition to developing sustainable strategies and operational modalities, the group is tasked with identifying critical national assets and wielding influence over Nigeria's reputation”.



The President went further to announce that the group will take charge of reconvening the annual "Nigeria Reputation Summit" starting in 2024, establishing it as a world-class flagship event of the NIPR. The NRMG is also entrusted with recommending viable structures for the proposed Nigeria Reputation Trust Fund, a financial instrument aimed at bolstering initiatives dedicated to enhancing the country's reputation on the global stage.


He emphasized that beyond advising the NIPR Council on matters of national reputation, the group is mandated to curate pertinent content on Nigeria's reputation. This reservoir of information will be strategically deployed, aligning with the NRMG initiative. Additionally, the group will undertake assignments designed to attract professional, reputational, and financial value to the Institute.


The 23-member group which will be led by the Comptroller General of Customs, comprises  of noteworthy figures which includes,  Ambassador Zubairu Dada, former Foreign Minister of State; Yomi Badejo, President of the African Public Relations Association (APRA); and Professor Kate Omenugha, a luminary in the field who served as the Commissioner for Education in Anambra State.

KLT Command Generates N36.6 Billion In 5 Months As Compt. Edeldouk TAKES Charge

The Kirikiri Lighter Terminal command of the Nigeria Customs Service, said it has generated the sum of N36.6 billion between January and May this year. This was revealed by Comptroller Martina Tilley-Gyado while giving her valedictory speech yesterday, Friday, 31st May 2024 at the command.
