The Apapa Command of the Nigeria Customs Service on Tuesday, 11th November rolled out the drums to welcome back one of their own who had gone a journey of courage and inspiration riding motor bike from Nigeria to Belgium in 72days. The Assistant Controller General of Corrections (ACG) in charge of Zone A Headquarters, Lagos and Ogun States, ACG Jude Agboje, paid a courtesy visit to Headquarters 81 Division Nigerian Army, Victoria Island, Lagos, on 11 November  2025. The Apapa Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has launched the Electronic Cargo Tracking System (ECTS), a digital innovation aimed at enhancing national security, boosting revenue generation, and facilitating seamless trade across Nigeria’s ports.  The pilot phase of the initiative was conducted using a container designated for the Kano/Jigawa Area Command on 5th November, 2025 marking the first practical deployment of the technology in real-time cargo monitoring. The Nigerian Navy has appointed Rear Admiral Suleiman Dantsoho Ibrahim as the new Flag Officer Commanding (FOC), Central Naval Command (CNC), Yenagoa, following the formal handover from Rear Admiral Ahmed Gaya. The Apapa Command of Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) in the month of October 2025, achieved a record-breaking revenue collection of N304 billion collection, being the highest monthly revenue generation by any customs command in the history of the Nigeria Customs Service. This record is against the revenue sum of N264b generated in the month of October 2024 bringing the command's revenue generation for the first 10 months of the year 2025 to ₦2,402,141,493,747.06 surpassing the 2024 total revenue of the command. The notorious traffic gridlock that once crippled Apapa and its environs is gradually resurfacing, threatening to paralyze movement and port operations once again.
