Seme Customs Area Command In A Superlative Performance.

* Generates N5.9 Billion In 2023 * Exceeds  Revenue Target  by N3.9 Billion  * Decorates 34 Officers With New Ranks The Seme Customs Command of the Nigeria Customs Service in a superlative performance generated a total revenue of N5.946billion in the fiscal year of 2023 having been given a revenue target of N1.966billion for the year, this shows a surplus of  a whopping 297 percent. The command also on Wednesday decorated a total of 34 officers across all cadres ranging from Deputy Comptrollers to Assistant Superintendent of Customs, who have distinguished themselves in their areas of operation and have been found worthy of promotion by the management of the service.  The Customs Area Controller of Ports Terminal Multiservices Limited (PTML)  Command of the Nigeria Customs Service, Comptroller Saidu Abba Yusuf has admonished all newly promoted officers under his watch to grow into their new ranks by showing excellent examples in punctuality, timelines and overall discipline. The Customs boss said this on Thursday 4th of January while addressing the newly decorated  officers at the Customs Corporate Headquarters Abuja, The CGC,  Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR, decorated recently appointed Assistant Comptrollers-General (ACGs), Comptrollers, and other senior officers.   The management of the Nigerian Ports Authority has appointed Mr Sylvester Othuke Egede as the substantive Port Manager of the Tincan Island Port Complex. (TCIPC). Mr Egede succeeded Mr Akin Leoso who served in acting capacity for two months (November and December) 2023 since the exit of Mr Jubril Buba the former Port Manager who retired from NPA  on the 2nd of November 2023. Prior to his appointment as the Port Manager of TCIPC, Mr Sylvester Egede was the Traffic Manager of the Lagos Port Complex from  August 2023 until his appointment as Port Manager TCIPC Apapa. Ogun Sporadic Shooting Was In Line With NCSA - Ag Comptroller Shuibu

 The Acting Customs Area Controller in charge of Ogun 1 command of the Nigeria Customs Service, Deputy Comptroller Ahmadu Shuaibu  has said the viral video of sporadic shooting by operatives of command that went viral on social media was in accordance with the Nigeria Customs Service Act (NCSA) 2023. The Act, which frowns at obstruction, molestation, or assaults of officers on lawful duty, with the infliction of punishment on offenders such as conviction to a fine of five million Naira, and imprisonment for 5 years or both. Also, Section 226 of the NCSA empowers Customs operatives to carry out patrols freely was applied by the operatives of the command on the 16th of December, 2023.
