ANCAMAJ UNVEILS PRIME SUAVE MAGAZINE


Association of Nigerian Catholic Maritime Journalists (ANCAMAJ) last Thursday in Lagos added a new publication to it's stable as it unveiled a magazine.


The event, which took place at the hall of Secred Heart Catholic Church, Apapa was chaired by Comrade Emeka Enwelu  a renowned Freight and Shipping Agent and the special quest of honour was Conptroller Dera Nnadi, the Customs Area Controller of TinCan Island Command of the Nigeria Customs Service.



The Publication, "Prime Suave Magazine" according to the  President of the Association , Mr Alfred Omenihu is a general interest quarterly magazine with more concentration in the maritime industry.


Alfred Omenihu in his welcome address stated that the objectives of the association,  "Moving the Mandate Forward,” encapsulates our mission as media professionals, to news dissemination, agenda setting, public relations, and the conferment of status. Stating further,  "we feel a responsibility, as trained researchers, to foster the growth of fellow laypersons, particularly in the face of the numerous distractions prevalent in the 21st century. Our primary values lay in enlightenment, awareness, and the consolidation of faith through research, publications, and motivational/enlightenment programmes”.



He went further ” We have made a firm promise to ourselves that we will continue to move the mandate forward. Prime Suave magazine is a general interest quarterly magazine, with more concentration in Maritime activities. The magazine is really loaded with a plethora of serendipity


The President however revealed that the Association in collaboration with Catholic Impact Movement had before now researched and authored three books,  " The Catholic Covenant, Catholic Prayer Capsule and Walking in Faith with Mary and Joseph".


The Chairman of the occasion, Comrade Emeka Enwelu who was accompanied by his lovely wife in his brief remark promised to always support the association in all ramifications and called on the general public especially the Catholic faith  to make sure the vision of the publication is achieved.


Mr Christian Ugochukwu, the representative of  Comptroller Dera Nnadi advised the association to keep the flag flying and never to be deterred by the present economic realities, he also added that the core values for which the association set up this publication should never be deviated from.

 

Chief Osita Chukwu, a well known maritime activist and addent  Catholic faithful in his goodwill message at the event  noted that the coming together of members of ANCAMAJ is for a noble course, he advised that they should be shining examples at all times for other journalists to emulate.

The association also used the opportunity to appreciate their Patron, Comptroller Nnadi and the Chairman of the the occasion through presentation of awards.

KLT Command Generates N36.6 Billion In 5 Months As Compt. Edeldouk TAKES Charge

The Kirikiri Lighter Terminal command of the Nigeria Customs Service, said it has generated the sum of N36.6 billion between January and May this year. This was revealed by Comptroller Martina Tilley-Gyado while giving her valedictory speech yesterday, Friday, 31st May 2024 at the command. This, according to her represents 75 percent increase when compared with sum generated within the same period of last year.
