Blue Economy: NIMASA to Invest in Research and Development  

Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr. Bashir Jamoh, OFR presenting a souvenir to the Executive Secretary, Kaduna State Emergency Management Agency (KADSEMA), Mallam Usman Hayatu Mazadu when the later paid a courtesy visit to the headquarters of NIMASA in Lagos.   As part of efforts toward harnessing the Blue Economy, enhancing collaboration, while also promoting Research and Development, the Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr. Bashir Jamoh, OFR has disclosed that the Agency is set to reopen the Lokoja office. Nigeria Customs Backs UN-Habitat's Effort In Combating Smuggling

  The Acting Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR, has said that the Nigeria Customs Service, under his watch, will implement every necessary action against saboteurs of Nigeria's economy to cripple their ‘illegitimate’ business of smuggling. The CGC restated this on Tuesday, 19 September 2023, when he received Ambassadors of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme, UN—Habitat, led by Dr. Raymond Edoh, at the Customs Headquarters, Abuja. Shu’aibu Takes Over Idiroko Customs Command, Seeks Collaboration Of The Border Communities

   As Deputy Comptroller Ahmadu Bello Shu’aibu, took over the    mantle of leadership of Ogun 1 Command of the Nigeria Customs Service from Comptroller Bamidele Makinde as the new Customs Area Controller, he has called for collaboration from the boarder communities within the axis. Seme Customs Command Surpasses 2023 Revenue Target Within 9 Months … As Compt. Bomodi Takes Over Command

  The Seme Command of the Nigeria Customs Service as at Friday 15th September, 2023. has surpassed its revenue target of N1.96bn for 2023. Comptroller Dera Nnadi while handing over the staff of Office    of the command to the new Customs Area Controller of the command, Compt.   The Kirikiri Lighter Terminal Command of the Nigeria Customs Service now has Comptroller Martina TillyGyado as the Controller. Comptroller Dera Nnadi, yesterday, 14th of September assumed duties as Customs Area Controller of the Tincan Island Port Command of the Nigeria Customs Service with a resolve to achieve the goals and aspirations of the service. Customs Boss Emphasizes Commitment to Training and Trade Solutions with NIPSS

The Nigeria Customs Service has reaffirmed its commitment to enhance the skills of its officers and men through training at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) in Kuru, Jos.  The Acting Comptroller-General, Bashir to Adewale Adeniyi MFR, made this known on Tuesday, 12 September 2023, when he received the Director General National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Professor Ayo Omotayo and his management team, who paid him a courtesy visit at the Nigeria Customs Service Headquarters, Abuja The Ag. NCS Partners Benin Republic Customs To End Trans-Border Crimes, Enhance Trade Facilitation

  The Nigeria Customs Service NCS, has expressed willingness to synergize with the Benin Republic customs enhance trans-border security and regulate trade between the two countries. the    Acting Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR, made this known on Tuesday, 12th September 2023, when he officially received Senior Officers of Benin Customs, led by the Director-General, Alain Hinkati, at the Nigeria Customs Headquarters Abuja, in continuation of their two-day interactive session. SEAFARERS WELFARE KEY TO SUCCESS OF MARITIME SECTOR - JAMOH. ... Agency Hosts Workshop on Seafarers Medical Certification in Lagos. 

  The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) hosted an enlightenment workshop for seafarers, employers of seafarers and other maritime stakeholders in Lagos on Seafarers’ Medical Certification and other related issues concerning the health of Nigerian Seafarers.  Speaking at the event, the Agency's Director General Dr. Bashir Jamoh OFR, who was represented by the Head, Administration and Human Resources Department, Hamisu Gambo, reminded attendees that the safety of seafarers lay at the heart of an efficient and productive maritime sector.  According to him, "the safety and well-being of seafarers is paramount in ensuring the smooth operation and success of the maritime industry. Apapa Customs Command Generates N676B Between January To August 2023. … As ACG Auwal Hands Over To Compt. Jaiyeoba

  The Nigeria Customs Service, through the Apapa Area command has generated over   N676B between the months of January to August 2023. The outgone Area Controller of the Command, ACG  Auwal Baba Mohammed    disclosed this on Tuesday while handing over the mantle of leadership of the command to the new Area Controller of the command, Comptroller Babajide Jaiyeoba who before now, was the Custom Area Controller in charge of Oyo/Osun Command of the Service.  The Newly promoted ACG added that the Command collected it’s highest monthly and daily revenue in August 2023.
