The Comptroller-General of Customs (CGC), Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, has officially commissioned a sports arena built in his name by the Western Marine Command of the Nigeria Customs Service. The arena, the ' Wale Adeniyi Sports Arena' (WASA) with state-of-the-art facilities is part of NCS Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Built on a reclaimed piece of land which hitherto was occupied by hoodlums, miscreants and other illegal occupants and some non state actor. At the commissioning ceremony, CGC Adeniyi who was accompanied by Senior officers of the service and other Controllers within the Zone 'A' emphasized the importance of physical fitness and wellbeing for Customs officers and stakeholders, saying, “Our jobs are demanding, and it is necessary that we maintain the right work balance.
