ACG Malanta Urges Apapa Stakeholders To Extend Same Support To His Successors … Hands Over To Auwal Mohammed

Acting Assistant Comptroller General, Yusuf Malanta has urged the Apapa officers and stakeholders to extend same support he got from them while as the Customs Area Controller of the Apapa Command of the Nigerian Customs Service to his successor , Comptroller Auwal Mohammed as he hands over the baton of leadership to him. Speaking at the hand-over ceremony held on Friday, the out-going Area Controller urged the officers at the Command to support his successor with the same level of support he received while at the Command. While elegizing his successor, described the Comptroller Mohammed as an exemplary Customs officer nick-named ‘Due Diligence’ for his top-notch professionalism in Customs operations and processes. He stated that his tenure as Area Controller was an enjoyable one with robust support from his officers, port stakeholders and other sister agencies, Malanta prayed that his successor would have similar testimonies to share about the Command during his tenure. Tin Can Customs Rakes in Over N574bn Revenue In Year 2022

The TinCan Island Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) generated over N574billion revenue in 2022.   This figure represents a 16.33% increase when compared to the amount generated by the command in the previous year of 2022. The Area Controller of the Command, Comptroller kindle Oloyede revealed this last Friday in Lagos while briefing journalists on the performance of the Command for last year. The    Area Controller expressed delight at the higher revenue feat, even with the tough economic situation and other challenges during the fiscal year which also affected Customs operations, also asserted that the revenue increase could be attributed to the constant rejiging of the existing measures geared towards sustaining the Command’s revenue profile as well as utilization of some disruptive strategic measures. Dala Inland Dry Port Set For Commissioning - Ahmad Rabiu

All is set for the commissioning of the Dala International inland dry port on Monday 31st January 2023 by President Muhammad Buhari at Zawachiki in Kumbotso local government area of Kano state. The managing director of the dry port, Ahmad Rabiu stated this while addressing newsmen on the preparation for the inauguration of the port at its headquarters in Kano. CVFF DISBURSEMENT: NIMASA MANAGEMENT MEETS WITH APPROVED PRIMARY LENDING INSTITUTIONS … As Jamoh Charges Banks to Complement Government’s Effort

The Management of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency NIMASA has met with members of the Executive Managements of the five Primary Lending Institutions (PLIs) in charge of the Cabotage Funds.   The banks    which are the Federal Government approved Primary Lending Institutions (PLIs) for the disbursement of the Cabotage Vessel Financing Fund, CVFF are Jaiz Bank, United Bank of Africa (UBA), Union Bank, Zenith Bank and Polaris Bank Speaking shortly after a closed door meeting, the Director General of NIMASA, Dr. Bashir Jamoh OFR, noted that the meeting is a major step towards the implementation of the Presidential directive on disbursing the CVFF as announced by the Honorable Minister of Transportation, Engr. Mu’azu Jaji Sambo, late last year. Transport Minister pays Tribute To Nigerian Armed Forces On Remembrance Day

As Nigeria marks the 2023 Armed Forces Remembrance Day, the Honourable Minister of Transportation, Mu'azu jaji Sambo has paid glowing tribute to     the men and women of the Nigerian Armed Forces.   In a message by his special Assistant (Media) Dr Sam Idiagbonya, the Minister described the fallen soldiers as heroes heroines who paid the ultimate sacrifice inorder to protect the country's sovereignty.   According to the Minister, the country remembers and honours them for their gallantry and bravery, adding that the ideals for which they laboured will be upheld. CVFF Disbursement! Jamoh Assures Shipowners on Prompt Disbursement

  The Management of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, (NIMASA) led by Dr. Bashir Jamoh OFR has assured the indigenous shipowners of prompt and effective disbursement of the Cabotage Vessels Financing Fund (CVFF).
